The SIEMENS PLC Application, “AE-PLC-SIE”, is a modular PLC training unit developed by EDIBON, which incorporates one of the latest SIEMENS PLC systems. This application enables users to acquire knowledge in PLC logic programming, explore various PLC programming languages, and understand PLC-to-PC communication protocols.

The “AE-PLC-SIE” includes a comprehensive set of practical exercises designed for students with no prior experience, allowing them to become familiar with the operation and functionality of PLC systems. The unit can be used independently for PLC training or in combination with EDIBON-compatible applications to explore real-world automation scenarios.

The system is based on a modular structure. The SIEMENS PLC Base Unit, “AE-PLC-SIE-UB”, is the core of the application and always includes the power supply and PLC CPU module. Additionally, a wide range of optional expansion kits is available to complement the base unit. These kits add functionalities such as test modules, analog input/output signals, HMI devices, and internet connectivity for remote control and monitoring.

With these options, users can expand their training to cover HMI programming, analog signal testing, and web server application development, gaining hands-on experience in advanced industrial automation concepts.

The “AE-PLC-SIE-UB” base unit is essential for the operation of the “AE-PLC-SIE” system and provides the foundation for further expansions based on the specific training objectives.
