The Automotive Fundamental Electronic Circuits Unit, “AV-EC”, offers a practical introduction to automotive electronics through a selection of common circuits used in modern vehicles.

The circuits in the “AV-EC” unit focus on key automotive functions, such as DC motor power supply and speed control, lamp light intensity regulation, automotive DC power supply, pulse generator circuits, spark generator circuits with contact breakers, transistorized spark generators using Hall effect sensors, and semi-controlled and fully electronic spark generation systems. Each circuit in the unit is isolated to facilitate understanding of individual functions. Test points for each circuit are accessible via standard 2 mm lab sockets for easy measurements and diagnostics.

The “AV-EC” unit also includes built-in faults that can be introduced to various components, enabling students to identify and analyze typical electronic failures found in automotive systems.

This unit comes with a comprehensive set of practical exercises designed to help students grasp the operation of fundamental electronic circuits used in the automotive industry.
