The "PWP-HE" Hydroelectric Power Plants by EDIBON is designed to allow users to study the integration of hydroelectric power plants within microgrids. Hydroelectric plants are highly responsive and can efficiently supply energy during peak demand periods, making them an important component of any microgrid. This application enables users to simulate intelligent energy distribution within the microgrid, with decisions based on operator inputs.

The system includes a turbine-generator group that generates power for the microgrid, providing flexible and responsive energy distribution. A network analyzer is integrated to monitor the energy produced by the hydroelectric power plant in real time, providing essential data for decision-making.

For precise control of the turbine-generator group, a digital multifunction controller (AVR and ASC) is used, allowing users to regulate the electrical and mechanical parameters of the system. Key features of the controller include the ability to set the "set point" for the generator’s active power, enabling automatic adjustment of how much active power is injected into the microgrid.

The multifunction controller is crucial for managing power distribution between various generators within the microgrid, ensuring an efficient and balanced energy supply across the system.
