The "PWP-HE" Hydroelectric Power Plants by EDIBON is developed to study hydroelectric power plant operations within microgrids. Hydroelectric plants excel in providing rapid energy supply during peak demand due to their quick response capabilities. This application includes a turbine-generator group that supplies power to the microgrid, enabling energy distribution based on operator decisions.

A network analyzer is integrated to monitor the hydroelectric plant's real-time energy output. The turbine-generator group is regulated by a digital multifunction controller (AVR and ASC), which optimally manages all electrical and mechanical parameters. Users can control the active power set point to adjust the active power injected into the microgrid automatically.

The multifunction controller is crucial for balancing power distribution across various generators within the microgrid, providing a comprehensive understanding of hydroelectric energy management.
