Photovoltaic Application with Connection to Grid (AEL-PHVG)
PL-243409
The "AEL-PHVG" Photovoltaic Application with Connection to Grid, developed by EDIBON, is designed for studying photovoltaic energy production and the integration of this energy into the electrical grid. To facilitate a hands-on learning experience in solar energy production, the "AEL-PHVG" includes a programmable power supply that simulates an array of photovoltaic panels connected to a three-phase grid inverter. This inverter is programmable, allowing users to manage energy output under various conditions and perform dynamic power control with the energy injected into the grid. For this reason, the application is compatible with any of EDIBON's Smart Grid systems.
To further enhance experimentation, it is recommended to acquire an actual photovoltaic panel along with a mobile halogen lamp panel. The mobile lamp panel is equipped with a current regulator, enabling users to simulate variations in solar irradiance. Additionally, a variable resistor module and multimeters are suggested for conducting load tests on the photovoltaic panel.
The application can operate alongside other power generation units to analyze energy mixes and explore the benefits and challenges of integrating alternative energy sources into a single power system. This compatibility allows it to be combined with other generation, transmission, distribution, and load applications, offering a comprehensive study of interconnected power systems.
